Port Vauban, the cap and the old town
Antibes reads as three pieces with different constraints. Port Vauban, Europe's largest marina by tonnage berthed, has vehicle access down to the quays: drop-off happens as close to the gangway as the pontoon allows, so it helps to name it. The old town behind its ramparts is largely pedestrian — drop-off is at the Porte de la Marine or on Avenue de Verdun.
Cap d'Antibes is a residential peninsula of narrow, winding roads with no pavement over long stretches. The large properties have discreet entrances, often poorly signed: the villa name and the lane number beat an approximate GPS pin.
Juan-les-Pins and the summer season
