Private Chauffeur in Courchevel

Courchevel is not one address but four resorts stacked along the same road: Le Praz at 1300 metres, Village at 1550, Moriond at 1650 and Courchevel 1850 at the top. Between the first and the last lie some ten kilometres of hairpins and close to twenty minutes of climbing. We always ask for the level, not just the resort name.

At 1850, most of the large hotels and chalets sit on the Jardin Alpin or the Rue du Rocher, reachable by car but sometimes behind private gates. The chalet name beats a postal address, which in a ski resort is often approximate.

The climb from Moûtiers is equipped and cleared as a priority, but winter equipment is compulsory in Savoie from 1 November to 31 March on the roads concerned. Our vehicles run winter tyres through that period, with chains on board.

School-holiday Saturdays funnel all Three Valleys traffic into the same valley: the Moûtiers bottleneck can add an hour to a two-hour journey. Moving a departure by an hour often changes more than changing the route.
