The shortest of our Alpine transfers: 70 kilometres on the A40 towards Chamonix, exit at Sallanches, then the D1212 through Combloux to Megève. One hour five, door to door. It is also the most reliable winter link: no valley bottleneck like Moûtiers, and a wide, well-maintained access road all the way to the village.
In winter, we allow some margin for the final stretch from Sallanches to Megève through Combloux. A wide, well-maintained road still calls for a slower pace when snow is falling. Weekend arrivals can also lengthen the approach to the village.
